It happened again today while playing CS, tracked it down in the Event log and found this, can anyone make any sense of it?? :S

Not a clue and yes, my OS, PS2 and CS:GO are on my SSD

The second tab under Disk called "Disk Activity" should show you exactly what you need. Sort it by the Write column and you can see exactly what file is being written to.
